1965
The Rag Trade & Manchester
Experience Group Chairman & Founder Mr. Maqsood Ahmad begins work in Manchester, United Kingdom thousands of miles away from home, alongside his uncle in the wholesale clothing & rag trade.
1970
First Factory Setup in Whitechapel London
Mr. Maqsood & family set up the first garment manufacturing unit in east London, UK. Only after four years of training and work with his uncle, Mr. Maqsood and his entrepreneurial spirit lead him to venture out independently.
1973
Acquired a running factory on Commerical Road London
Mr. Maqsood acquires another running apparel manufacturing unit in east London, UK. Mr. Maqsood now has 300 employees working with him.
1975
First Warehouse
Mr. Maqsood acquires his first warehouse to store ready goods, fabrics, trims, and accessories.
1977
Two more factories added in Leeds
With great success in apparel manufacturing in the U.K., Mr. Maqsood continues to expand his apparel empire by opening two more units in Leeds, UK. With one factory employing 155 workers and the other 400 workers.
1978
Retail Stores
Along with just manufacturing apparel for the wholesale market, Mr. Maqsood always wished to have his retail stores selling his apparel goods directly to the end customer. Therefore in 1978, Mr. Maqsood set up a few retail stores across the U.K.
1982
Experience London Brand Name Acquired & First Factory Setup in Pakistan
In 1982, Experience London, the brand name, was acquired by Mr. Maqsood; hence we are known as Experience Group today. However, the manufacturing business slows down in the U.K. as the country goes from a manufacturing-based economy to a service-based economy. As a result, Mr. Maqsood faces his most significant financial hardships, losing many assets he had to spend years acquiring and setting up. At the same time, his brother Mr. Maqsood started operations of his first factory in Pakistan known as Eram Fashions.
1995
Operations in Bangladesh Start
Mr. Maqsood, in desperate search of a new feasible location to set up his clothing empire, ventures out to many South Asian countries such as Srilanka, Indonesia, and even Taiwan. However, Mr. Maqsood finally set foot in Bangladesh in 1995 and immediately placed his bets on Bangladesh's developing and relatively young working population. As a result, experience Group's first rented factory began operations in the same year.
1998
First Own New Factory in Bangladesh
After successfully operating the leased unit in Bangladesh for two years, The first milestone for Experience Group was establishing its first garment factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh, known as Experience Clothing Company Limited. Experience Clothing Company Limited employs over 3,000 people and has been operational for over 25 years,
2007
Two New Factories in Bangladesh Experience Textile & Experience Accessories.

2008
One New Factory in Bangladesh Harry Fashion
With the group already expanding in other areas of the garment manufacturing process, the group had to grow the production of its garments further. In 2008, Harry Fashion Limited was founded, employing over 4,000 workers. With full compliance and the utilization of the latest machinery, it has become a modern and highly efficient factory within the group.
2020
Experience Group's new Retail brand AMIRÁ and Retail Stores
With passion and determination, Experience Group continues to find ways to diversify and expand within the clothing industry. With the local demand for ethnic and western apparel on the rise, including the purchasing power of the local citizens of Bangladesh, Experience Group launched the fashion brand AMIRÁ operational in 2020, with five physical stores and an Online Store. We are planning to have 50 stores by the year 2025.
IT ALL STARTS IN MANCHESTER
The family business begins with wholesale clothing in Manchester.
FIRST FACTORY IN LONDON
The family sets up their first garment manufacturing unit in the East End, the heartland of London’s garment making. After four years of apprenticeship, Maqsood Ahmad takes over the business from his uncle.
NEW FACTORY COMMERCIAL ROAD
The company acquires a second factory in the East End. The workforce increases to 300 employees.
First Warehouse
The first warehouse allows the company to store ready made goods, fabrics, trims, and accessories.
EXPANSION TO LEEDS
Increasingly successful, the company opens two new production units in the North of England, in the traditional textile district of Leeds. The company now employs a further 550 machinists.
EXPANSION INTO RETAIL
Having successfully manufactured garments for the wholesale market, the company now ventures into retail, selling directly to UK customers.
NEW NAME & NEW FACTORY IN PAKISTAN
The company changes its name to EXPERIENCE GROUP. As the UK economy is slowing down, the company restructures and opens a new garment making facility in Pakistan.
EXPERIENCE CLOTHING BANGLADESH BEGINS
After extensive market research, Experience Group decides to start garment making in Bangladesh, the rising Tiger economy in the fashion world. The first factory is opened in Dhaka.
EXPANSION IN DHAKA
Experience Group now employs over 3000 employees.
EXPANSION INTO TEXTILES & ACCESSORIES
With the rapid growth in textile and garment exports from Bangladesh, Experience sets up its first textile unit. The company also sets up a garment accessories unit to become independent from imports. Since 2007, Experience Group has a vertically integrated supply chain.
EXPANSION OF PRODUCTION CAPACITY
The company continues to expand its production capacity. In 2008, Harry Fashion is founded, employing over 6000 employees. Fully compliant and using the latest machinery, Harry Fashion is a modern and highly efficient factory within the Group.
EXPANSION INTO RETAIL
The company continues to diversify and expand. With demand for ethnic apparel on the rise in Bangladesh, Experience Group launches their own AMIRA fashion brand, with 5 high-street stores and an online platform. The plan is to set up 50 stores by 2025.
EXPANSION INTO THE UK HIGH STREET
Having withstood successfully the global Covid Pandemic, Experience Group returns to its roots and expands into the UK High Street fashion market and establishes their own Sales & Design Office in London, focussing on the ever-increasing demand for sustainable, fast-lead fashion.
